Miso Shishito Peppers

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Oz Shishito Peppers
  • 1 Tbsp White Miso Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds Optional

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet

Method
 

  1. Heat a dry cast iron skillet over medium heat on the stove. Once the skillet is hot, add the shishito peppers.
  2. Cook the shishito peppers until the are charred on all sides. You should hear popping noises.
  3. As the shishito peppers are charring, combine the miso paste, honey, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Once cooked through, remove the shishito peppers from the skillet and transfer to the miso mixture. Toss to coat.
  5. Transfer to serving plate and garnish with sesame seeds.
