    Hot Honey Grilled Vegetable Pizza

    Sharing is caring!

Behold, the vegetable pizza that will be loved by even the most loyal of pepperoni fans!

Not only is my Hot Honey Grilled Veggie Pizza the best ever, but it is made on the grill so you can avoid using your oven and turning your kitchen into a suana! The perfect dinner to get through the heat wave that hit LA this weekend!

My Hot Honey Grilled Veggie Pizza is loaded with flavor and comes together in under 30 minutes! The best part is, it’s incredibly versatile. Have mushrooms that are about to go bad? Throw them in! Got broccoli that needs to be eaten? Toss??Them??In??. Grill up whatever you have on hand and top it off with Hot Honey for an incredible flavor combination.

Make your own hot honey easily by adding ⅓ Cup of honey to a small sauce pan, and adding 1 roughly chopped and deseeded jalapeño. Bring the honey to a boil then remove it from heat and let it cool while soaking up the flavor form the jalapeño. For a less spicy honey, add less jalapeño. Once the honey has cooled, remove the jalapeño pieces with a fork then drizzle the hot honey over the pizza. Because you will be taking the jalapeño out at the end, I suggest chopping the jalapeño into large pieces so they are easier to fish out in the end.

    Ingredients

    • 1 Package Pizza Dough (I used Trader Joe’s)

    • 3 Tbs Olive Oil, plus more to coat the dough

    • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced

    • ½ Cup Parmesan

    • 1 Red Bell Pepper

    • 1 Cup Broccoli or Broccolini

    • 1 Cup Asparagus

    • ⅓ Cup Yellow Onion

    • Hot Honey
    • ⅓ Cup Honey

    • 1 Jalapeño, deseeded

    Directions

    • Bring pizza dough to room temperature to relax the gluten and help it spread.
    • Stretch the dough to form a circle. Set aside
    • For the hot honey: add honey into a sauce pan along with 1 chopped jalapeño. Stirring often, let the mixture come to a boil, then remove from heat. and let the jalapeños seep.
    • For the pizza sauce: mix together 2 tbs of the olive oil, grated parmesan, and minced garlic. Set aside.
    • Turn on your grill to high heat.
    • Thinly slice the red pepper, broccoli, and chop the asparagus into 1-2 inch pieces. Mix the vegetables in a bowl with 1 Tbs olive oil and salt and pepper.
    • Transfer your vegetables to a grilling basket and grill for 5-8 minutes, depending on how charred you like your vegetables.
    • Remove the vegetables from the grill and set aside. Do not worry about them getting cold as they will be going back on the grill once the pizza is assembled.
    • Grab pizza dough and coat both sides with olive oil so it does not stick to the grill
    • grill the pizza for roughly 1 minute, or until you can flip the dough without it sticking. Grill the other side for a minute as well.
    • Remove the pizza dough from the grill and place on a baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce and add the grilled vegetables on top. Add as much or as little cheese as you like and pop it back on the grill for 2 minutes. until the cheese is melted. Remove from grill and set aside to cool.
    • While the pizza cools, remove the jalapeños from the hot honey.
    • Cut the pizza then drizzle with the hot honey. Serve and enjoy!
